Generate newsletter sending schedule with AI
Until recently, you could use NewsMAN’s AI-powered generation of newsletter headlines or content ideas for email marketing campaigns. Now you can AI-generate a newsletter sending schedule based on all the sending history of your previous campaigns and industry trends.
Use the newsletter sending schedule generation feature with AI and increase the open and conversion rates of your marketing campaigns! You can find it on the newsletter sending page, under newsletter scheduling: select “Send later”, then “Add with AI”. The schedule generation algorithm with AI will list the most suitable newsletter schedule for your subscribers.

In schedule generation you can also use filters such as content type, industry and language. Being history-based, you get the days and times with the best chance of success. Plus, it also takes into account the industry you select in the generation form, as well as seasonal holiday-based shopping events. This way you don’t miss any important opportunities to promote your business.
Choose one of the 5 AI-generated schedule ideas and click the Apply button. You can repeat the action for another idea by reusing the same option again.
Segmentation of subscribers by activity in the last x newsletters
Now you can go beyond general segmentation of subscriber activity, e.g. active subscribers in the last x months, whether they have opened or clicked on a newsletter. With the newly launched feature: “opened or clicked on the last x newsletters” you can segment much more accurately the level of engagement!
For example, subscribers who have opened 10 out of the last 10 newsletters are more interested in your products and services than those who have only opened 4 out of 10, and each deserves different personalized emails.
You can start with those who haven’t opened all of the last 10 newsletters. You have below, a segment creation simulation for this situation.
Subscribers who have opened 4 out of the last 10 newsletters

To the same segment you can add ecommerce conditions (e.g. if it has orders) or you can directly use the ecommerce report generation function per segment to see in detail the order status how many orders each subscriber has, with what value, number of products etc.
There are also negative conditions with: did not open, did not click in the last x newsletters so that you can segment the inactivity of your subscribers as accurately as possible and send them personalized emails.
Automation of adding subscribers to the segment
You now have the ability to create email marketing automation from the trigger of adding subscribers to the segment or removing them from the segment. This is another specific request from NewsMAN customers, which we have developed to increase the flexibility of personalized automated email flows.

For example, you may have a situation where you have a segment where subscribers with the tag lead or customer or coffee lovers will enter, following a campaign you run: webinar registration, direct purchase or shopping preferences form. Depending on the segment they’re added to, our recommendation is that they receive different automated emails based on their preferences and behavior, and that’s exactly what you can do with this new automation feature.
Example of automation after adding to segment

Generate ecommerce report for a segment of subscribers

You can generate an ecommerce report for any subscriber segment in your NewsMAN account, e.g. active subscribers, form subscribers etc. Even if you have general segments in your account without ecommerce conditions, you can generate an ecommerce report to see the number of orders, the amount, the source and the number of products ordered.
Generating such a report is done from your account, from the E-Commerce > Reports (orders) > Generate report per segment.

Average order value (AOV) in reports and automations
We have introduced a new performance indicator for email marketing campaigns, AOV. AOV stands for average order value. You can select the desired period in the order reports and see what the average order value is. This way you can see what worked and plan how to increase the AOV.

Also, AOV, the average order value can also be per subscriber and you can find it out if you go to their details. There you will find the date, total orders, order value, number of products per order and source. Here is an example below:
Orders report per subscriber, including average value

Last but not least, you can use the AOV indicator in automations to segment subscribers and send automated newsletters with discount coupons or personalized offers based on a certain average order value:

Days since subscription: rule in segments and condition in automations
The “days since subscription” function helps you to segment more specifically subscribers who have a certain number of days since subscription and have had no orders or any activity: e.g. no opens or clicks in email marketing campaigns received from you.
Subscribers with no orders in the last 3 months, >= 93 days since subscription

The “Remarketing” rule can be replaced with the “Inactivity” rule and this will list subscribers with no activity in the last n months, who have not opened or clicked on any newsletter or automated email.
In the automations, you can use the “days since subscribing” condition on the model from the segments, based on activity, with orders or without, and you can also do subscription anniversary / anniversary emails as a member of brand x’s community.

Segmentation of subscribers by subscription form
If you have created one or more newsletter subscription forms and forgot to tag subscribers or assign a segment to the form, then they go into NewsMAN, across the entire list of subscribers.
Up until now you could segment them by the “web confirm” subscriber method and it would list all your subscribers in the form. Now with the new “Completed form X” segment rule you can list them specifically by the form they completed.
To use the new feature to segment subscribers by subscription form, you need to go to the “Create Segment” page, and under the rule select Completed Form X. Here is an example below.
Segmentation of newsletter subscribers by completed form

You can also create segments with the “Did not fill in the form in X” rule.
Finally, these form-related subscriber segmentation rules can also be found in the automations section under Conditions when editing a flow.
Excluding subscriber segments when sending newsletters
Your monthly marketing plan may also contain campaigns that don’t target the entire database. For example, you may have a newsletter that you want to send to certain subscribers, less inactive or tagged subscribers.
Now you can do this easily using the segment exclusion feature on the newsletter send page. Here’s an example below:
Newsletter sending with segment exclusion of inactive subscribers

Also read about how to create a segment of inactive newsletter subscribers (if you don’t already know how to do it from NewsMAN.
Otherwise, in terms of excluding segments when sending newsletters, it’s important to know that you’re not limited to just selecting a specific segment. If you need to and it applies to that campaign, you can select more. It’s the same as when sending, where in the to: field you either leave the entire list of subscribers, or you delete the recipient’s read and select one or more segments instead.
Generate images with AI for newsletter
You don’t have a designer or you’re in a hurry and out of ideas for newsletter layout? In the campaign editor drag & drop editor, you now have the function to generate images with AI for your newsletter. Describe in detailed English the image you want to be generated with AI and choose what you like.
To use the feature, add a blank line, then drag the Image icon from the Content. Click on the added icon to select it and then click on “Create with AI”. Describe as best as you can in English what the image should be and then click “Generate Image”.
To give an example of such an image, I wrote the following prompt: “fashionable woman Valentines Day”. And here is the result below.
Sample image created with AI from NewsMAN

You can use “Regenerate image” if you want additional pictures for the description you provided. Once you have set the version you want, click Apply Image. In the newsletter editor, you can use the “Apply effects” function on the chosen image if you want to further edit it: add text, shadows, etc. However, we advise you not to overload the visual design of the newsletter with too many elements.
New automations options: send on day and time x
We’ve added two new waiting options in automations so that you can customize the time you can wait until an automated email is triggered.
For example, if you offer online courses and have everything set up so that your members receive a course every Monday at x time, or you simply have an online store and want to send out promotions only on Fridays at a certain time, then you can use this feature to great effect.
You find the new options, in the Automations section > Add a step in automation > “Wait” button. Here’s also an example of an automated flow with these recent features of sending email on a certain day of the week and at a certain time.

Quick test send newsletter from draft
We’ve launched the quick test send newsletter directly from draft to save you time. Until now, you had to click ‘Continue’ in the email editor and fill in all the details on the send page until you got to the ‘Send test’ at the end.
Now with the new quick test feature, you just enter the email you want to receive the campaign and that’s it. The quick test button has an email icon and you’ll find it in the right menu in the newsletter editor. Below is an example.
